Wow, it looks like a busy week for u/s!! Good luck everyone!! I can't wait to hear the good news!! I don't have an appointment until week and I'm going out of my mind!!! I did have an U/S at 6 wks and we saw a heartbeat, next week I'll be 9wks I'm hoping we get a good view!!!! Vicki, it may be too early! Enjoy it while it lasts! I know what you mean though, if I start feeling good for even a few minutes I get nervous!!! Good luck this week!!! Erin
Candace, I'm so glad you told everyone. Isn't it so much fun! I spent most of the day at work yesterday sending the u/s pics out, even though I had to copy them and then scan them, so I'm sure no one could really make anything out!
Vicki, I really haven't had many symptoms at all, and so far everything is fine. But I was completely paranoid at first about it.
My tummy itches! Anyone else? I know it's because it's growing. Eeek! I'll be huge by the time I make it to 9 months. Three months and already showing. I showed early with Ameerah too. I carry really high also. I feel so lopsided! The top of my tummy is bulging and the bottom is the same. lol
I've also been having a lot of Cm this week. Even though it's normal I'm scared. I always get more CM when AF is comming.
JL, YAY for twins. I had a feeling that you'd be having twins. That's so exciting!
How is everyone feeling?
I'm so ready to jump to the second trimester! August 21 is when I get to move over. It can't get here fast enough! :)
Well, personally I am feeling drugged! I was so tired all day yesterday and today and I can't think straight at all. This morning I completely forgot about a meeting I was supposed to have at 10 with all the other associates at my firm - luckily one of the partners I work for was in charge and she just had a baby in January so she understands, or else it could have been terrible!
Yusra, my tummy isn't itching yet but it's definitely growing - I can't suck in my belly anymore! I know, I am counting down the days til we get to move too, such a big milestone!
I was playing on the internet last night looking for nursery bedding, etc., because I had seen an adorable ad in a magazine at my doctor's office on Monday and WOW it was expensive. Some of the sets were more than I paid for our bedding! Scary.
I bought some maternity clothes on eBay and they came today!! It will be a while b/f I can wear some of them - the pants are huge! - but it's exciting to have them waiting.
JL and Megan - I'm so glad that you both had great ultrasounds! Congrats again on the twins JL...how exciting!
Candace - I also came out of the closet with my pregnancy. We had such a great ultrasound last Thursday, DH and I just couldn't keep the news to ourselves any longer (we both work at the same company), so we showed our pictures around to everyone we could on Friday! I haven't shared with my family yet, except my parents and brother because I want to tell my Grandma first. I got her a little photo album that says "Smiles for Great Grandma" on the cover, and I put an ultrasound pic in the 1st page. She lives in Wisconsin, so I'll have to send it to her. Once she knows, I'll tell everyone else. That's really cute what you did to share, and your brother sounds like a hoot :)
Vicki - Like everyone else said, I wouldn't worry about symptoms. I really didn't have any at 5 weeks except for being tired and somewhat sore boobs that weren't sore every day. I was between 7-8 weeks when I got m/s, and now I wish I gave into every craving I had because now, I have such a hard time keeping stuff down. Even when the m/s started, it's not regular. On Sunday, I was actually starting to get worried since I wasn't sick on Saturday, but by Sunday night, my entire dinner came back up.
Anyway, I'm sorry if I forgot anyone, but I hope everyone is doing well, and wishing lots of pg symptoms for those that want them :)
BTW, has anyone tried the Gender Predictor test? I ordered it off the internet over the weekend, but I'm going to wait until Sunday to take it so I'm 10 weeks. (It says to take it once you at least 10 weeks for best results). Anyway, I thought it would be fun to try...I definitely won't count on the results or anything. Just wondering if anyone else tried this or thought about it.
Everyone was quite excited to hear our news...but his sister I could have strangled! Since she couldn't be there, we made a card and left it with her parents. She called us immediately after she got it, quite excited. Then she said to me "it's about time! If you would have waited any longer I'd be too old to enjoy being an aunt" UGH!!! We've been trying for 4-1/2 years for a baby. Do you think we PLANNED to wait that long?? I just said "you don't always get a choice in how long you wait" and left it at that. But, the nerve!
Thanks for letting me get that out. I feel better now!
Lisa please do let us know how the gender predictor works. Sounds fun!
Suzie and Yusra I agree with pp's the cramping, stretching, etc are just our little beans getting comfy!
JL good luck making your decision. Just do what's right for you...
Megan I feel like I'm growing too...it must be all the food I'm eating. Seriously, if I don't eat every 2 hours I'm a shaking, dizzy mess!
