Hi, Ladies! I'll be 9 weeks tomorrow. I've had some minor bouts of queasiness but no ms yet. I'm just curious if you think the following experience is pg/ms-related. :)

Last night, DH and I had pizza with some friends (my GF and I had veggie; guys had pepperoni). I also made some brownies and cookie bars for dessert. I ate a couple of pieces of pizza and some dessert. Nothing out of the ordinary.

We came home and I went to sleep around 10:30. About midnight I woke up feeling awful -- upset stomach, felt like I needed to go to the bathroom, etc. The really weird thing is, I was "tasting" watermelon (which I hadn't eaten). It was as if I'd eaten a bunch of watermelon candies -- my mouth

Sounds like MS and baby didnt like it. I found with my DD's that if it was pregnancy related, once it made me sick, the thought of eating it again made me sick as well. You will no for sure when the smell of pizza starts to make you nauseous. Your description of the taste in your mouth and the taste of water seems like your pregnancy taste buds are playing tricks on you.

Strangely enough, it doesn't seem like either. I would lean towards a bug or something. Usually when you eat something that's going to make you vomit, it happens fairly quickly after ingestion. MS usually gets worse when your stomach is empty, and I've never heard of it waking anyone up. Granted, I don't have it bad, just a lot of queasiness and food aversion mostly.

Jane,

I'm certainly no expert, but it also sounds to me like it could be m/s.

I think it's definitely m/s. I had food poisoning once, and I threw up and (sorry for tmi) diarrhea for 1/2 a day. I in my 10th week, and I've had m/s since week 7, and sometimes I'll throw up just one thing that I ate, and it wasn't necessarily my last. For example, I once started dinner with a salad, had chicken after that, but all that came up was the salad?!? I also get a weird taste in my mouth before I get sick. I find that sometimes, sucking on mint candies help.

Take care, and congrats...you have m/s :)

Hey Jane!

I don't know what to tell you, but hope it was m/s and not a bug. How are you feeling now?
