This may be a good question for those who have been down this road before.

Intermittently, I keep having this off-color vaginal discharge. It ranges from a yellowish color to something a bit more brownish (like a mustard-y color). We've had an u/s with a heart beat, and then the midwife was able to use the Doppler and found a heart beat on Monday (it kept running away, so I didn't hear much - but she swears it was there).

I'm just sort of a wreck. If this is so darn common, why don't they tell you more about it?

TIA.

Oh-- just wait-- you'll experience more colors and textures than you thought possible!!!

Your body is producing a TON of hormones, and your whole nether-region responds by making new and exciting CM. Unless it smells bad or is bright red, yellow or green, or is accompanied by pain or cramping, I think it's normal.

omg...I am the QUEEN of weird discharge! (hmmm....maybe I should get a blinky that says that!? lol!) Anyways, weird discharge is norma. Like pp said, your body has got hormones going all over the place in there. I had yellowish discharge, I had clear, there was off white, there was stuff with white streaks in it. I'm tellin' ya. It was like a freak show down there! Unless there is a smell with it, pain, or bright red in it, don't worry too much about it. Personally, I just kind of kept a mental note on what I was seeing and talked to the dr. about it just to make sure whenever I saw him.
