Just a quick question.... (I posted something similar upstairs, but thought it'd be better down here.)

OK so I am going to tell you what we are doing but don't forget I am geriatric as far as having kids...my Dr's term with a smile and hospital coding....and I dont want to do the amnio in fact I told him not to bring it up again....we will do the NT scan and the triple screen as they work together to create your risk factor. IF something comes out of that to cause concern other than Down's we will CONSIDER the amnio...the NT is just an u/s and who would turn down

Hey there -

I am actually having mine done next week (the NT, that is). I'm more than a little nervous, but I think it comes with the territory.

I, too, have little interest in an amnio, so I will likely pass if anything comes up on the screen that looks suspicious unless a doctor could convince me the benefit would outweigh the risk at that point. DH and I cannot think of a circumstance where we would end the pg, so we would just want a "heads up" if things were not going well.

Again, just my two cents.

GL!

I am doing the NT this Tuesday. I am so nervous. We didn't do any of it with my son, but I guess I just want to know. To be honest, I want to do it so I can finally relax about the pg, but I am scared that it will cause more concern as it seems like nothing has worked out in this area for the past year!! (Except, of course that I finally got pg!). So hopefully this will be my relief!

Good luck in your decision!

Christine
