Same ole' paranoia strikes again

Hi all -

Still kind of new to the board, but I will give you a brief history which will explain my paranoia. I got pregnany in 8/03 & had a m/c on 10/17/03 so like most of us in here, I am worried about my current pregnancy (which is at 5w2d). So far I have no symptoms except tiredness which could just come from the fact that I go to work at 4:30 a.m.! I have read many of the posts that address symptoms that have disappeared, but haven't seen anyone post that was worried they didn't have symptoms this early. Does anyone else feel not pregnant at 5 weeks - or is it just me?!? I haven't really let my dh know that I am so worried at this point because he was so sad the last time? So, anyone else asymptomatic this early on?

Thanks. :D

Beth

Beth,

Welcome! You have found fellow paranoids by the score! We are all bordering psychosis -- okay, maybe just me! Anyway, I had no real symptoms until mid-way through week 6. I was happily going along thinking my only symptoms were a little fatigue sometimes and a touch of breast tenderness. I was waking up early, going to the gym -- nothing stopping me! And then . . . 1/2 way through week 6 BOOM! Big-time morning sickness! 3 am bathroom runs, to pee or puke or both, nausea and constant queasiness, indigestion, breast explosion, irritability, major food aversions. Although I would have a day or 2 of relief, the symptoms did not fully go away until week 14. Do note, that my symptoms, and those of many ladies here, came and went. That is normal. Hopefully, you will be one of those lucky women who will not have to pretend to be fine while struggling to keep down your breakfast or lunch in front of your co-workers. But I doubt you'll escape wondering whether or not to switch careers and become a porn star with your newly enourmous and non-stop growing breasts!

SBV and warm fuzzies to you!

Oh Beth!!! Thank you so much for asking that question!!! I actually came to these boards today looking for the answer to that question!!! I am 5 wks 4 days today, and so far, I too have just had tiredness (not excessive) and sore bbs. I was really starting to get paranoid. My first dr appointment isn't for another 2 wks, and I feel like I'm going out of my mind. (never thought I would want morning sickness to come on-haha)

Thank you so much for asking the question and thank you Alexeyex for answering it. I feel much, much better now. I will try not to panic for at least another week now. hahahaha

Thanks again...

Thanks Girls!!!

I'm still sorta a lurker here. I'm too scared to actually make serious posts until my appointment. DH and I are still finding it hard to believe that we are pg, since we've been TTC for like 7 months now. But thank you so much again for the support. Hopefully, I will be a regular poster here real soon. :o)

Yes, Beth... please let us know how everything goes. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

With my DS, I didn't start feeling nauseous until around week 7 or so, and I never actually threw up, just felt queasy and hungry at the same time! My main symptoms with DS were that I was super tired (couldn't keep my eyes open) and I had to pee a lot. Not much else. I had an uneventful pregnancy and gave birth to my son (now 2 1/2).

My SIL didn't start having m/s until week 8-9 or so, then she threw up a lot for about 3 weeks.

With my last PG, my BBs felt heavy, I didn't feel as tired (or no more tired than usual), and had a little bit of nausea after 6-7 weeks (again no actual throwing up). Around week 9, my symptoms seemed to lessen bit, but I thought it was because I was nearing the end of the first trimester. But I had lost the baby. (I think because of low progesterone.)

This time, I am tired and have had a couple of queasy days (4 weeks today), but other than that no symptoms and don't really feel pg most of the time.

It may be that you'll get m/s later on, or it may be that you'll be lucky and not get it at all! Good luck!

SBV!

Dear Beth,

I, too, struggle with this. I am a little queasy in the morning but that is it. I do pee a lot, but I always pee a lot. My bbs don't really hurt although sometimes they itch. I am concerned for this pregnancy, probably more because of my m/c in October.

I know exactly how you feel!!!!!

I have been pregnant before and had m/s, but this time nothing!

I am at 6w1d, and hoping for morning sickness. Isn't that crazy!
