Lisa,

I recognized you from TTCAM, and it turns out our stories are VERY similar. I, too, am pregnant for the third time. The first two ended in miscarriage. My last pregnancy was found to have been caused by a trisomy. (Sound familiar?)

I am 9+ weeks now, but the first few weeks were just full of anxiety for me. I know how anxious you must be, awaiting your beta hcg results. I hope the best for you... be sure to update us on your progress. This board is full of wonderful, supportive women.

Have you been to genetic counseling since your trisomy? I'm just curious to hear what they might have told you about your risk of trisomy in future pregnancies. I was told 1/100 risk of trisomy.... so we're contemplating testing right now. Don't mean to make you think too far ahead, I was just curious.

Lisa,

Congrats on your numbers doubling! That's the first of many milestones to come. I hope you do follow in my footsteps (and I hope to follow the footsteps of the successful pregnancies that have come through this board).

Thanks for the genetic info. I'm going to be 31 in a few weeks, so I think my risk is a little greater than for a person my age. DH and I are still making decisions about testing. When it gets to that point for you, I'd be happy to discuss it with you.

:) Sue

Hi Lisa and welcome! Congratulations on your pregnacy...you must be so excited, but I know, so nervous too. I'm a TTCAM graduate also, I think I recognize your name. I m/c'd in Sept at 8 weeks, and am now pregnant again (26 weeks!!!).

Just wanted to say welcome. The first 12 weeks are hard....it seems like they take forever, and you worry alot. But each weeks that goes by, you'll get more and more confident!

Wishing you a happy, healthy, and uneventful 9 months.

Linda

26 weeks

PS - I think you're the first 2005 baby I've seen on the board!

Congratulations, Lisa and I hope that you get to are here to stay for a long time. It is nerve racking when you have loss after loss because not only do you have the grief you also feel like you just can't seem to get past that point in your pregnancy where everything will be fine. You are on pins and needles for weeks, so come back often and keep us updated. Remember all of us have BTDT! :)
