I want to feel my baby move!!!!!

I am 18 wks and am soooooooo anxious to feel the baby move. I know that women feel their baby move for the first time between 17-22 wks so I guess I shouldn't worry or anything but I REALLY want to see what it feels like and feel my little one move. Just a flutter--come on! I think it would be reassuring, too, as a PAL member. We have our big ultrasound next week and we hopefully will find out the gender and see the baby and it's heartbeat. Last night I had a dream that I heard the baby's hearbeat again. Is everyone around 17, 18 wks feeling movement?

Patience is all I can say... Once you are sure you've felt it, you'll probably look back and realize that you had in fact felt your little one move before, but you've probably written it off as digestion!

Here's hoping for flutters and thumps for you soon!!!

I felt it at 14 weeks...due mostly to the fact that this is not my first time. So I knew what to expect and what it felt like. I mostly feel it everyday. Usually while sitting on the couch watching t.v. It is really easy to miss if you don't pay attention due to the fact that they are so small still. I hope you get SOMETHING soon. ( come on baby mama wants to feel you). With my son I believe it was around 16 weeks. Good luck sweetheart and let me know when you feel something!!!

Thanks, girls. I feel things pretty often but they don't feel the way people have described baby movement. They don't feel like fluttering. Sometimes it feels like poking from the inside and since my stomach muscles have been bugging me I wrote it off as that.

Everyone describes it differently too.

I never felt any flutters or bubbles popping or anything like that. Mine kind of started feeling like someone was putting a little presure on one spot. I also didnt really feel anything until about 22 weeks because I have an anterior placenta. Now at 25+ weeks I can get her to move if I want. I remember how anxious I was to start feeling her. You will soon.

If you feel popping, that's very possibly your baby!

Alice,

I haven't felt flutters, but I really think I'm feeling the baby move, and it is like Heather said, more of a knocking from the inside.

Ok guys I felt three little knock-knock-knocks on my lower abdomen today. I think it was baby J!! At first I wrote it off as a spasm and then I was like:WAIT A MINUTE!!

I'm so pleased for you that you felt something!

I am 19weeks 2 days and I only feel something occasionally (which of course has sent my PAL brain a bit crazy) - usually at night when I first get into bed (or back in after getting up to pee!). A few times it just felt bubbly but on saturday it was big thumps - so big dh could feel it from the outside which was exciting but haven't felt anything definative since. Although generally my tummy feels 'excited' today (like when you are anxious or nervous about something) so maybe that is the baby too??
BUT I had my 19 week ultrasound today and it was moving constantly - so much so we had some trouble getting to look at some things as it couldn't hold still - so at least I know its very active and healthy - I just can't feel most of it yet!!

Hope you keep feeling movement!

Jo.
