before i was pregnant, i wasnt a coffee drinker but it has been one of my MAJOR cravings....dunkins to be exact! Ive been drinking probably 2 decaf ice coffees a week throughout the whole pregnancy. I dont think its a big deal, its not like we are drinking a pot of regular coffee a day..i think in moderation its completely fine!

I totally agree with the PP. Decaf is fine. Almost anything in moderation is fine. Every source I have found has said do decaf if you can, but if not limit yourself to around 2 cups a day. Just count this as one of those "words of wisdom" people seem to love to hand out. Good luck,
Kristi

P.S. I couldn't handle water either with this baby early on. I think the fruit and tea are great. One thing you might try, is crystal light. It helped me a lot.

Everything in moderation, my friend. Decaf is just fine. I asked my dr. about that when I was pregnant with Maddie. he said as long as it was decaf it was fine. So, drink away!

Hi Yusra,

Like the pp said, decaf coffee or even regular coffee in moderation is fine... my MIL was actually telling me a story the other day about how they used to make her down lots of Coke (the drink) to get the baby to move around at her appointments!! I think the only side effect is that DH is a caffeine addict ;)

I'm not a coffee drinker, but I was told one cup of caffeine coffee was fine per day. I did have about 5 or so cans of caffeine soda during my pg, and Sean is perfectly healthy!

It's definitely the caffeine not the coffee itself that you need to keep an eye on.
