Oh Sweetie... I think deciding if you want a doppler or not is completely up to you and what type of personality you are.

Hi Kristen,

We rented one with Ethan, but haven't with this one.

I totally agree with Crystal on this one...you have to know your personality.

I decided not to because I think I would just be more crazy with one.

Hi Kristen! I have a doppler that I got from Babybeats.com.... AND................................. right now it drives me nuts! It's too difficult to find the hb right now, but I just had my 11w u/s today and the hb was there so I'm trying to make myself not try it for a little while.

I never rented one because like others said, I would have driven myself nuts with one and broke down in tears everytime I couldn't find the heartbeat.

Hey Kristen -

I LOVE my doppler, and I did get it from babybeats. Mine came when I was around 11 weeks, and after the 1st time I haven't had any trouble at all finding the heartbeat. I really like having the extra reassurance, when I'm having a random PAL moment - I get instant gratification. I don't use it every day, and it's actually gotten a lot less frequent lately. It's fun to let my mom and MIL hear too - my MIL lives several states away so she not around to watch us growing. : )

Also, I didn't get the one that records or counts the beats for you, so it wasn't very expensive. All I care about is that it's beating, not how fast or slow.

HTH!

i think it is the most comforting thing you can have when your symptoms are gone and there isnt movement you can feel yet.

The doppler is a wonderful investment , but you have to understand that you mgiht have days that its gonna be hard to find but just keep searching and you'll find it.. Good Luck making a decision..lots of SBV's and H&H nine months!!!
