Hello everyone. I just arrived here, at the 2nd trimester and am as pleased as pie. Sounds like everyone is getting along so well in their pregnancies. Maybe this truly is the honeymoon phase!
Wow, registries complete, baby rooms planned, moving plans in the works. You guys are go getters! I haven't even thought about the logistics of having a 3rd child in a 2 bedroom house. That should provide for some serious coziness. I might be pitching a tent for myself in the backyard to get me time!
Exciting about the level II ultrasounds. The more that I see the baby now that I know that everything is okay from the CVS results, the more excited that I get and the more real that it seems. Just can't wait to feel the baby move. Unlike most of you...I don't seem to have as many abdominal muscles. I'm envious!
It's fun finding out what everyone else is having! We are having a boy. Boy #3. I am readjusting my expectations for what my family is. I didn't expect to have a house full of men. I'm one of 3 girls and I have zero frame of reference for boys/men. I am so grateful to be pregnant with a healthy child and I just need to accept that this is what my family was meant to be!
Yusra, you're almost there! You'll breathe easier soon.
Jeri-Lynn, sorry about the fall. How terrifying. I fell at 19 weeks and broke my foot with DS #2. It's hard to realize that your center of gravity is changing when your body hasn't changed alot yet. It's funny because I was so worried about hurting the baby that I lost control of the rest of my body, got pretty scraped up and broke my foot. The baby was fine!
I want it to stop raining here. I'd settle for 80 degree Kentucky weather right now! I didn't even go out of the house yesterday, it was raining so hard. Well, that and the fact that my body has decided to throw a little bit more morning sickness at me. This is the very tail end of it. I'm sure of it!
Glad to be here and very glad that everyone is doing well.
Wow! Everyone has been really busy! I only have a minute b/f I have to leave for work, but I wanted to say HI. Jane, I can't believe you're almost done with everything already! I'm the same as Natalie - going into Babies R Us totally stressed me out the first time, and I haven't been back yet. One of my friends just finished hers, and I think I'm just going to print hers out so I can folow it around the store. : )
Stephanie, we'll be packing and unpacking soon too!! I'm so excited! The neighbors across the street want to buy our house for her mother, so I've been house hunting for something that 3 people can actually live in. So much fun!
Hi girls, Thanks for the kind thoughts about my twin bro. So far there aren't any other options besides trying ivf with their frozen eggs in the future..which they can't afford right now. They really don't want to adopt (just their preference and feeling on it) but that may change someday, too. I just hope she doesn't stay away from my baby experience out of sadness..I was totally guilty of that during the low times. I just want them to have this experience..you know? I'm glad everyone is doing pretty good. Another week is flying by toward having our babies!
Hello everyone! I haven't visited this chat in a while, it's been busy around here! Good to see that everyone is doing well.
JL sorry to hear about your fall. I hope you're feeling okay afterward...though it sounds like you may be since you're getting into prenatal yoga. I've thought about trying it, but I don't really know of any place close that offers it. The only place I've found so far is no where near my house and has classes at quite inconvenient times...but I live in KY, not Cal. where everyone does yoga!
Natalie I completely agree with you on the need for Fall here! I can't believe it's supposed to get up to 90 on Saturday -- crazy! I also agree on the overwhelmed feeling walking into BRU. Then I went into Kiddie Castle yesterday and they told me I need to consider ordering furniture in the next month or so. I woke up this morning thinking about how to arrange the room. I can't get this off of my mind....can't work there's no time. I must plan! LOL
Alice I'm so sorry to hear of your brother's troubles. There's nothing fun about IF and the money issues just compound everything. DH and I tried for 4-1/2 years before this pg. I know you want them to have this experience...I'll say a little prayer that they are able to try and are successful soon.
On the movement note, I didn't feel anything very consistent at all until last week...since then I've felt something at least daily. But yesterday the little guy was having a party in there! It was hilarious I felt him move and kick many times during the day. So cool!
Stephanie I can't believe you're almost unpacked. We moved 2 years ago and now I'm trying to figure out what to do with all the unpacked boxes in the closed in what will be the baby's's room and in what will be the playroom! I'm impressed!
