BIG HUGS!! As the pp said: Stop Googling things! Google is the devil when it comes to medical info; you'll just make yourself crazy :p Now then, as far as BV goes, I am the BV queen...I've had it twice this pg. It's just a bacterial infection, and as long as you take the antibiotics as prescribed, it shouldn't be a problem--the problems usually only arise when people have long-term untreated infections downstairs (of any sort, not just BV). I'm really sorry your appt wasn't good, but I'm willing to bet you and baby are doing great!

Being pg is just scary, especially for PALs.

Natalie I am sorry that your apt was not uneventful and has left you concerned. Protein in the urine could be something as simple as it was too long before meals and you were on the hungry side...or I should say the babe was....as for the glucose...you know where that came from! As far as the truely critical things they were all fine so roll with that and try not to get too weireded out in the meantime!! (((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))

Natalie,
I'm sorry you had such a worrisome visit. I would imagine with so many yeasties during pregnancy that BV happens to a lot of women. They are probably just being extra cautious since it is a little infection. BUT the fact that your cervix is closed is really good in my unprofessional opinion is a good sign that preterm labor is not happening! I'm glad baby boy has a perfect little heartbeat. The sugar you have been eating probably is making your BV worse since that is what has happend to me in the past (I can always connect a yeastie with an increase in sweets..damn!) Just keeping rubbing that belly and breathing and try to eat more protein and less sugars and everything should just work itself out!
much love,
alice

Aw, big hugs sweetie! I know you're scared but I really think everything will be fine. I had a bacterial infection when I got home from the hospital after delivering Scarlett, and they think I probably got it while I was actually there but aren't sure. I could've had it before going into labor (I had to be induced btw) and if I did then I had no complications from it. Something I can tell you that should really make you feel better though - I'm going thru IUI this month, already took the clomid and everything and then woke up on day 8 feeling like I was getting an infection (the bv I had felt a lot like a yeast infection so I wasn't sure which it was). So I called the RE and told them, and they said to just eat a lot of yogurt and hopefully if it was the start of a yeast infection then it would clear it up... but .... if it was
