Good morning! I thought I'd start out the chat this week since I am avoiding some nasty paperwork!
This weekend I drug...practically kicking and screaming...dh baby furniture shopping. Of course the set I fell in love with is also the most expensive set I've found yet. LOL I refuse to pay that much money for baby furniture so we're still looking...or hoping for a sale! :)
So are my questions -- I've had people at the furniture stores and BRU tell me that we should order the furniture between 20-24 weeks to ensure timely delivery. This seems early to me... what have/will you guys do? Has anyone ordered/bought furniture yet? What about other baby/nursery items?
We also went to a local art fair but it was HOT! We've beating record temps this weekend and expected to today -- in the 90's. Yuck! The good news is that a cold front with some rain is supposed to move in tomorrow and lower the temps about 20 degrees, back to normal. This is good news to me because next weekend we're going to a near-by arts and crafts community to shop some more. At least then it will be 72 and not 92.
I know you guys have had it with the heat, but I'd love to have some. It's freezing here!
Furniture shopping is always fun. I just have to get a changing table this time around. I've seen alot of friends make really smart decisions in buying furniture that can convert into later years. I guess that you can buy converter sets for cribs to make them into toddler beds, and table top wooden frames that can make a nice dresser into a changing table.
I had to train myself to sleep on my side. I've never bought one of those pregnancy/full body pillows. I use about 3 pillows instead. One behind my back, one between my knees, and one underneath my abdomen.
I'm hoping that this week bringing the tail end of morning sickness for those of us who still find ourselves in that group. It sure makes it a bit daunting to see that you have 174 days left of this pregnancy on your ticker!
It has been a good week this past week as we got to share the wonderful news of this pregnancy with people. Finally! People have been so super supportive and excited for us.
I had my check up with my OB yesterday. We listened to the heartbeat. It took her a few seconds to find it, well maybe 20 seconds. Of course it felt like ten minutes to me! She said the hb was 135. Is that normal for a boy? She measured my uterus, which is measuring 22 weeks? I didn't ask if that was

Hello ladies!
It is also really unseasonably hot here, highs hear the 90's, which just bums me out because I LOVE autumn and it just dosn't feel like it yet.
Hi, 2T'ers!
Hi, everyone and welcome to October, right?

Hi fellow 2ters!
Hello ladies, and how are you?
Candace - I'm like you and have my heart set on one of the more expensive sets in the store.
