Claudette... don't you even think twice about how your doctor will react.

I agree with the other ladies, go a head and call. Maybe they can squeeze you in today. But at least call and then maybe some of your anxieties will fade. I have little experience with this stuff but it always makes me feel better when I talk to a nurse or dr.

I would say go a head and ask your dr about what you read too. Tell them you think that you are being irrational but you would like them to calm your fears. They should understand and be helpful. Let us know how it all goes... Hugs ~Amy

I'm so sorry Claudette! The best thing to do is to be seen by your Dr. And don't worry about him thinking you're irrational. I'm sure he's heard it all before. I nearly drove my Dr. crazy I'm sure! Hugs... and I'm sure all will be fine!

Claudette, first of all, try and calm down, Sweetie.

I would definitely mention it to your doctor tomorrow and tell them about what you found on the internet.

Claudette,

I can understand why you are worried. My experience w/ skin rashes has been that they turn out to be nuisances and not much else, but they are alarming...especially when pregnant. I also understand why you want to be sure that the diagnosis is correct. Do you have a dermatologist? If your OB is unsure about the cause of the rash, maybe he will get you in with a dermatologist right away. (Althought, there is a good chance that the OB will know exactly what it is.)BTW, it might help to take some photos of the rash. They can change from day to day and if you end up seeing a dermatologist, it might be helpful for her/him to see what it looked like before your appt.

I don't know how your OB office works. At mine, there is always an OB on site when the NP is there. So if I see the NP for an urgent appt and she is unsure about something, she can discuss it with an OB and even bring the OB into the room. If your office works the same way, it might be worth it to take the appt w/ the NP even if you only want to see an OB.

Jen
