The books say its a bit too early, but I swear the last few days, I have been feeling real kicks in my way low abdomen every so often.

This is my first time making it this far too - I felt my first movements around thanksgiving (about 16-17 weeks) and I felt my first kicks around christmas (about 20-21 weeks). I don't think it is too early, everyone is different!

Congrats to finally feeling those early movements - let me just say ENJOY them! You will get more and they will become more frequent, but mine tapered WAY down around 32 weeks. and now I miss feeling little baby move so much. Every time he/she moves, I touch my belly and say "I feel that little baby and I love it, thank you" My dh thinks I'm crazy, but I just LOVED feeling him/her move for those weeks, and I'm missing it a little now. I actually find myself sometimes poking my belly saying hello little baby, what are you doing in there, can you move for me... or whatever clever thing enters my mind when I'm needing to feel him/her. My baby was SUPER active - I could easily count 10 movements or more in just 15 minutes - and I was so thankful because it was like a constant reminder that everything was ok, and now I sometimes have to work to count 2 in an hour.

Anyway, congrats to you, I think you are feeling your little one - here's to hoping yours is active as mine was!!!

i felt this one around the same time...and some of the kicks were big enough for DH to feel and that you could actually see my belly move.

It's probably baby! I started feeling flutters around 18 - 19 weeks with my first baby (that I carried that far) and soon after I could really feel her moving. It's so fun!

Thanks all! I have been feeling 6-10 kicks every day now for the past few days and I am now sure that's what it is! A couple of times a day, he kicks me hard enough to startle me.
