CORRECT! We are having a GIRL! I am so excited!! Everything looked great on the anatomy scan, nothing abnormal at all. They estimated her weight at about 12 oz., which they said was an average weight for this age. She was very active and squirming all over the place, although I couldn't feel much of it. There was no doubt about her gender either - she was not shy and they easily got a shot of her right between the legs, LOL.

They told me that the reason I haven't "popped out" much is that she is sitting very low in my pelvis, which is pretty common for taller women, the technician said. They said my stomach may never actually come out as far as many women's do. So I feel much more relieved about the state of my bump!

Yay now I can decorate the nursery! :)

Hooray!!! A girl. How exciting! Glad she was so active and that everything looks good. And, how wonderful that you got an explanation for why you haven't popped yet - I'm so jealous! Happy decorating!

Awesome news! I'm jealous of anyone having a girl (I'm convinced we're boy makers). That's so exciting and think of all the cute clothes. Yeay for a great scan!

Jen, that would be cool if you came to Austin! As for names, we haven't picked one or even really narrowed it down much but some of my favorites are: Rayna, Riley, Gemma, Jade, Bryn. I think DH likes some of the same ones but not all, so it will be interesting once we get serious about it!

Thanks Tiffany! Actually it does help to know that someone else likes those names too. It lets me know we're not looking at anything too weird. :) When my parents saw the list, they could barely contain their disgust - they prefer traditional names and do not like the modern-sounding ones, but that is just too bad, LOL! I think we are going to do something similar to what you guys did - we talked about each writing a list of our top 5 or 10 names and then comparing lists and vetoing anything on the other person's list that we hate, which should hopefully narrow us down to just a few possibilities.
