That sucks so bad, I'm sorry. I'm a huge pack-n-play lover though, and I wanted to encourage you to reconsider buying another one. They're so convenient, you'll really be glad to have a changing station and a place for the baby to sleep downstairs.
*Hugs* I'm SO sorry! Cat pee is sooo awful. You might try drenching everything in Nature's Miracle...it worked to save my deeply peed-upon couch. It's been 6 months now and there's still no smell back. GL!
I am so sorry this happened, but I wanted to tell you that dh's cousin told me when I had Hannah that her daughter peed on the pack n play table attachment and she wrote to the company and they sent her a new part for free because she said she couldn't get the pee smell out.
That stinks - literally, I know. :-( You might try Simple Solution, too, but I liked the pp's suggestion of seeing if you could at least get a replacement bassinet insert before giving up on the pack n play altogether. If you do get it cleaned well enough, or if you buy another one, I think they make those mesh 'tents' that you can put on the top, like the ones for cribs. That might help keep the cats out in the future.
Sorry to hear about this. I have a small down stairs and did not have the sleeping area for Matthew and it worked fine, but I did let him snooze in his swing turned off!!

I have heard that cats really like to pee pee in baby's beds, etc.
