I just wanted to say... I'm going to the doctor this afternoon! yay!! It's a good thing, because I have been drinking a ton of diet coke (it is the only thing i want lately, that and sweets), and then I read a bunch of scary things online about caffeine and my poor baby that are freaking me out.
Don't let it stress you out!! Everything in moderation. I've had days when I've had a lot of caffeine for me (considering I pretty much gave it up altogether about 4 years ago...) And there are many women who don't cut back on coffee or anything while pregnant. Remember, most of the stuff you read online is scary. There comes a point when you have to step away from the computer!! heheheh
I also have an appt. today. Meet the new doctor. I cannot believe I'm due in a week and a half. I can't believe I still don't have furniture in my house! hehehe. SUPPOSEDLY today, which means DH has to leave work while I go to my appointment to be here with the movers. For a while yesterday, I could have sworn that the little guy had turned sideways-- but I think it was all my imagination. Today, I'm just as uncomfortable as ever! hehe.
Meanwhile I"m having dreams that I go into labor, but won't leave until everything is put away...
Well, just in case the movers actually deliver today, I have got to go clean up our bedroom and deflate the bed! heheh..
Hey girls! It must be 3T doctor day...I see the doctor today too! What's your actual EDD, Colleen? My guy is "due" the 20th...won't it be weird if they're due the same time?
And caffeine is good...okay, not really. But it's so not the devil that the nutrition nazis make it out to be, either! I've had quite a bit of soda throughout the pg (little guy decided he wanted to be with me for the bar exam) and everything is fine and dandy--I'm sure you're doing fine despite the Diet Coke. Step away from the Google!
I hope you have everything set up BEFORE labor sets in! My nesting instinct is getting so frustrated...a friend decided she wanted to paint a mural in baby's room (a nice gesture)...but she has yet to finish it, so all of his stuff is piled up in the guest room, there's still flakey-stuff everywhere from where the old wallpaper had to get scraped off, and I can't set up the nursery! I want to scream because if he comes before his due date, there won't be any place to put him (although I'm sure my family would be nice enough to come clean and set up the room while I was in the hospital if that ended up being teh case).
KUP on the new doc and moving and all that fun jazz :)
Nicole... I just realized your baby is due on Thanksgiving!! :)
My dad was actually born on the 21st, which can never actually be Thanksgiving.
Thanks, everyone, for the reassurances about the caffeine... I am so sick of water, which I never really liked to begin with. I have to force myself to drink it now. I usually only drink it when I'm exercising.
Colleen... sorry that your furniture didn't arrive today :(
Thanks!! I am going to be this company's worst nightmare if I don't have a bed by tomorrow night...
I can't wait to see everyone's little ones!!! :)
I'm just waiting for DH to get home with the car I can drive (I don't fit in the little sports car anymore...) and then we'll see if I'm making any progress!! heheheh I'm totally avoiding work today, so I'm sure I'll update y'all in a bit.
Nicole-- how do you feel about the breast feeding books? I get frustrated, even with the good ones because I feel like I won't really know what they're talking about until I'm trying to do it.
But we did watch Happiest Baby on the Block this weekend, and both DH and I feel a lot more confident in the soothing category. :)

No furniture today... No... that would have been too easy....

Looks like we have a lot of EDDs coming up NEXT WEEK already.

Bah. Still not dilated, still only 25% effaced. Liked the new doc, though it was a whopping 5 minutes in the room with him...
We'll see if I make it to next week's appt....
