37 Week Appointment (Long)
15
Mon, 12-10-2007 - 6:16pm

Had my 37 week appointment. No cervical change since last week. Only a fingertip dilated and only 30% effaced. Unfortunately, my GBS came back +. My OB was thinking about stripping my membranes next Tuesday if I was dilated-but she can't even do that now that I am GBS +. Also, she can induce on the 24th or 25th. She is on vacation the rest of that week. The hospital is dropping my insurance (UHC) as of January 1 too, so Caitlin HAS to be here by then.

Good thing I was "cautiously optimistic" about the whole DH thing. Jim has reverted back to being a jack a** again. I knew it was too good to be true. People w/ mental health issues don't get better over night. He started sulking about the whole GBS, no stripping membranes , etc...I was bummed too of course, but can't control the situation, right? He started yelling at me and calling names, and mocking me when I burst into tears. He was mad because I was "bummed." He kept saying, "see nothing is ever good enough for you!" "Another 10 pounds of sh*t on our backs!" WTH? Am I supposed to be jumping for joy about + GBS? He then tried to run three cars off the road that weren't driving to his liking. I was freaking out that he was endangering our lives and the lives of others. Took Madeline and left him at home to cool off once we got back to our house.

I may not be on the board the next 2 weeks or so. I will either be staying in a hotel next to the hospital with my mom and Maddie. Or I will be getting clearance to go back to AZ and have the baby and take this whole thing from there. He doesn't help out when he's home. I just can't count on him to be there for me when I go into labor/induced. And he definitely isn't capable of taking care of Madeline on his own while I'm in the hospital recovering.

I'll keep you updated as I can....thanks for always being there for me!

Love you ladies!!!!! :)

Meagan,

BIG ((HUGS)) to you. I'm sorry that things didn't continue to improve with DH. If it's any consolation (even a tiny tiny one), from what I read, stripping the membranes often doesn't speed things along.

Sending tons of P&PT to you, Madeline, and Caitlin.

Oh Meagan,

I am so sorry for the emotional stress you are going through right now with Jim, being pregnant, and everything else. (((BIG HUGS))) I'm so glad that your mother is going to be there for you through all of this. Sending P & PT that everything turns out well.

Meagan,

I'm sorry that your appointment didn't go well, and that Jim is being an a$$ again.
