I get to be out of the office tomorrow, yay, then Friday we have our Christmas lunch and the office is closed after that. Thank goodness! It's getting harder and harder to be there all day.
I'm having a heck of a time staying awake at work today! I have no idea why, since I went to bed early and managed only to get up once to pee!
My DH is finally back in bed with me now that I'm over my cold, but he said I was snoring away last night. I'm happy to return to him what I've had to deal with for 6 years. Christmas is all about giving, right?
I'm working on wrapping gifts, but very slowly. I'm getting about 1 done per night. Of course, its not helping that my DH decided he wanted each of the 6 books we bought his mom wrapped individually, and then put in boxes and wrapped. Guess who got to do that?
Amy, I know what you mean about the appointments. I like to know that everything is going well, but I dread that darn scale! I hope that you didn't gain too much and that they don't hassle you about it!
I am not in the 3T yet, but I still lurk in this section from time to time, as I am so close.
I hear you on the back pain. I have that exact same pain, upper right shoulder blade area and straight through to the front under my bras line on the same side. My doc says it's quite common and is due to the hormone Relaxine that is released in the body. I have had massage therapy once a week for 5 weeks now, and it is just starting to feel a little better. I had these severe attacks that where like sharp spasism that would happen randomly. The massage is excrutatingly painful as she get's right between the ribs. I did ask my doc to check my gall bladder as this is the same area that is in, but she said that unless you have extreme nausea with the back pain, it is not the gall bladder. Do you have nausea too? If so, that is a clear indication of a gall bladder problem which is common during pregnancy. My left side just started hurting a few days ago, I really hope it's not the same thing....Wish I had some better advice for you, other then knowing it should go away almost instantly after birth...Take it easy, and try to drink plenty of water if you can, I find that helps.
Yup, I hear you all on the topics- the surreal feeling of being this pregnant, feeling enormous, dreading the scale, unmotivated for Christmas and so over spending all day at work.
Hi girls, Long time no chat!!! I have been MIA as I'm finishing up my last week of work before baby. Isn't it crazy how big these babies get inside of us?? I like it, too, when they take over one whole side of your belly and it looks like your belly is lopsided. I have my nursery finished except I'm waiting for my rocker from Pottery Barn. DH was in charge of picking that up and stuff so I better get on him about it. What do your nurseries look like?? Mine is very soft with lots of french floral quilt type stuff and a big white armoire. I wish I could sleep in there!! I think will be pretty often. What is everyone doing for xmas?? x alice
Andrea---what a nightmare!!!!!!!!! I teach kinder in a low-income school and luckily I've finally had a year where the parents are more involved. I am so glad they went to a safe place and were found ok. What city do you work in?? What grade do you teach? Try to get some much needed rest with your xmas vacation! Let us know how you like your hospital tour, too.
