Hi, Ladies! Hoping your holiday and baby preparations are going well! Just wanted to share a quick update that I passed the GTT! Woo-hoo! I'm glad I can keep on eating cookies because they sure are tasting good! LOL! No comments on my weight gain either, so that was a relief ...
DH and I had our first meeting with our birth/postpartum doula last week. Super nice lady. She's seen 250-some births and has five children of her own. The cool thing is, we're the only couple who signed up for her Lamaze/Bradley class in January, so she'll be coming out to our house for private classes! DH and I feel like we're living in the lap of luxury, plus not having to travel during those cold winter nights will be great! She's even consolidating the classes a bit so that we wrap up in January, rather than going into February. Sweet!
The question I have revolves around if I'm a nutcase (LOL) ... I'm a Green-teamer, and I showed the u/s pics of Babyboo to our doula. She said she could tell what gender it is -- not by the u/s pics, but by looking at my eyes. So she looks in the outer corners of my eyes and says definitively, "It's a boy." She explained that it's kind of an old wives' tale, but after 20 weeks you can look at the red lines in a pg's eyes and if there are more on the right, it's a girl (because girls are always right -- ha!) and if there are more on the left, it's a boy. Given the old wives' tale/girls always right comment, DH says she's probably joking, but she wrote "boy" on my chart! (I looked in my eyes the next day, and the lines seemed pretty much equal on both sides.)
Long story short, I've mostly had feelings that Babyboo is a girl. So has my mom, who's very intuitive (she wrote me a note

Congrats on passing the GTT!!!
Congrats on passing the GTT!
I haven't had any real intuition with either my DD or this pregnancy. To the point that, even though the u/s said girl, I'm still paranoid and trying to stay prepared for a boy, too, just in case. I know it will be an adjustment if it is a boy, since I've had "girl" in my head for so long, but I know that I will love the baby just as much in either case, so I'm trying not to worry about it too much. :-)

Thanks for all of your kind responses, Ladies! I'm no longer "worrying" about this. I realize my instinct is what it is, and I know several great moms who've been "wrong" about their baby's gender. It's just part of the Green Team guessing game.
We'll be thrilled with a healthy boy or girl ... and maybe I'll be a little extra smirky if the doula's wrong -- LOL! (BTW, I see what you mean on that, Emily. DH had the same response: "We just said we DIDN'T want to know!")
On the other hand, I think many family members (my mom, MIL, FIL, DH's aunt, etc.) will be quite surprised if it's a boy, as they all are saying girl. Either way, it'll be great! But we better get to work on some boys' names we're really happy with just in case! :)
Hugs and Happy New Year! Yay for our

Yay for passing the GTT!! Bring on the cookies and ice cream!
I'd never heard of that old wives tale. That's funny. I'll have to try it out on someone soon.
I thought that I was pregnant with a girl everytime and I was wrong, everytime. So, perhaps I just have bad intuition. Either way, its going to be awesome!!
