Spot update

Wed, 12-26-2007 - 5:08pm

I called my OB to tell her about spot. Unfortunately, the office is closed until Jan. 3rd. This must have been a spur of the moment thing because I have an appt. on the 28th for an ultrasound! Hopefully, they call to tell me the appt. is cancelled soon so I can update the doc.

So far there has been no more spotting. Thank you all for your replies. We didn't DTD (since I have a history of ptl we aren't suppose too). I did have some contractions yesterday so I was wondering if if might have been from that. Also, Zaki was kicking the heck out of my cervix so maybe he irritated it. Last night when I went to bed I wasn't feeling well and felt like I was going to start my period. I did go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, however, I was too tired to pay attention to anything going on in my panties.

As long as I don't start spotting again I'm going to wait to see my OB. If I do spot again I'll call her emergency # and most likely will go to L&D. I am going to take it easy until I see the doc.

I'm glad to hear that the nasty spot only made a brief appearance. Hopefully he'll be gone for good and the next 6 weeks will go by fast!

Hey! Sorry I missed your first Spot post. Glad it was just the one, but weird that you really haven't done anything to irritate your cervix. My ob said that by this time, our cervixes are really friable since there are so many blood vessels close to the surface, so it doesn't take much. Tell Zaki to take it easy on you for the next few weeks!!

As long as it wasn't much, I'm sure you're fine. I spotted on Christmas Eve and Day and now it's stopped. I was out of town so there wasn't much I could do but go to the local first aid kit, I mean hospital. I've spotted all along with this pregnancy and every time things are just fine.

I hope spot stays away!

Yursa,

I am happy to hear that you are not seeing any more spotting, but hearing about you feeling icky last night worries me and I think that you should give your doctor a call on the emergency number. I know I might be a worry wart, but I can be with you!!!
