Happy New Year! In 2008 we will all be having babies!
Dh and I are pretty much prepared. The C-section threw us for a loop though! Any words of wisdom to make it through the surgery? My DH is so worried something is going to happen to me.
We have the room mostly set up. I'll post pics when were done arranging everything. We have to arrange and do some cleaning and were done! The baby's bag is packed but I still have to pack mine. I'm not sure what to bring now because of the impending C-section. Any suggestions?
Amy, we are staying in too. I have 2 friends that had babies in December, and another who is pg and due in April, so we are all having game night at our house since none of the wives feel like doing anything else. I am thinking of wearing pjs! Glad you are OK after your fall, and hope everything is OK with the systolic/diastolic ratio as well. Don't worry too much until your appt - I'm sure if the dr was worried he'd have you in sooner.
Yusra, you are so organized! I can't wait to see pics! We finally have our crib, so there's something in the nursery, and bought paint, but that's about all the progress we have made. I'm hoping my bedding will be here before my shower on Saturday, but I'm not holding my breath. I did wash all his little clothes yesterday, so they are waiting in his closet for him. So sweet. What did you pack in the baby's hospital bag?
I really can't believe it's almost 2008 and we are about to have babies! It still seems unreal. We have all been through a lot in the last year. Glad that I had all of you!
Hi guys,
I did very little last night. Went to a relative's house and visited and was home by 10p!! I am feeling so lazy lately that I wasn't up for staying up till midnight. We went for a big walk with our little dogs this morning and then I spent the day sale-shopping for little things for the baby's room. So fun!! Her room is pretty much done.
I have been having Braxton hicks A LOT and feeling like she is lower down in my abdomen. I am trying to keep moving and walk a lot and do yoga when I get achy and stiff. I swear prenatal yoga is the only thing that has kept me this comfortable!
Amy--you'll have to let us know what happens with your follow-up appt. I have never heard of that kind of thing. I have my 3t ultrasound tomorrow. I hope they give me some fairly accurate info. I am so curious to know how big this baby is!!
Yusra--good luck with the c-section! Could you try listening to music when you're on the table or maybe have someone hold a picture above you for you to look at to keep you relaxed? I know that it happens very quickly so hopefully you will find a relaxation technique that will take you through it.
I can't believe we are all having babies so soon!!!

New Year's was pretty tame here too! Although both babies behaved well, and it was really reassuring to see that both families were surviving with 3-4 week olds.
Has anyone else started thinking that they may be going into labor with every pain? I know it's ridiculous, but on my way home from lunch I was having some cramping, and I kept thinking oooh, maybe it's time! Wishful thinking, since it'll be at least another 6 weeks!
I am so glad it's wednesday already. It was really hard to get u pand go to work this morning after having 4 days off!
