OMG! How did they not notice the penis? My peri told me to say a baby was a girl they actually have to see the lips of the vagina and not just the absence of a penis. I'd be a little down too!
My baby has been measuring big the entire pregnancy also. We ttc him so I know my O dates and know he can't be farther along. Which is why the OB hasn't changed my due date. My uterus has been measuring two weeks ahead and at my last ultrasound Zaki was measuring a week and some days ahead. I think it's perfectly normal. The measurements in the womb are not always that accurate.

Yikes.
It is TOTALLY normal to feel bummed when you were told a and it turns out to be b. Give yourself the space to mourn what you're not having, and know that that in no way means that you're rejecting your son. Please, don't feel bad about this at all.
In my limited experience, I've not had EDDs changed, they've always stuck with LMP, because I was certain. Sorry - no help here.

Wow! That was a shock! I think what you're feeling is completely normal - I know I would be feeling the same if I suddenly found out Will was a girl at this point, not because I don't want a girl, but because I've been planning for Will all along, kwim? I'm glad you've been able to return things.
About the due date, I sure hope measuring 2 weeks ahead means that your due date is 2 weeks earlier! I've measured 2 weeks ahead consistently ever since my dr started measuring my belly, and when we had our 4D u/s the tech (in my dr's office, not a chain) said she thought I was about 2 weeks farther along that I thought I was. And my "official" due date (Feb. 20th)

WOW, what a shocker.
Whoa, Jodi! That's quite a shock! I agree with pps ... I'm surprised they didn't realize at your earlier u/s that it was a boy.
Of course you're not wrong for being surprised and "mourning" the daughter you thought you were having. I think it's perfectly natural to feel some emotion at having to switch gears so quickly!
But, as pps also said, once you get used to the idea and start forming new pictures in your mind, you'll be very happy about your baby boy. It'll just take some time ...
Glad you were able to return so much of the pink stuff! Good luck with shopping for new goodies!

I am actually waiting for the same thing to possibly happen. At 17wks, my Dr said she saw the two sure lines of the female variety as well as the absnese of a pee-pee, but assured me that those two tell tale lines can sometimes be the developing scrotum, lol...so I don't yet believe the girl verdict for a second, lol. We get our anatomy u/s in another week and a half so it will be interesting to see if the Dr gets another good look or not. This time, she said it was a good viewing, but I do not want to think it is surely one way or the other. I think it is totally normal that you would mourn your "daughter" as she has just changed genders instantly! I have two boys and LOVE it, and will LOVE if miine is a boy or a girl, but to be getting to know your baby as one thing all this time, it has to be quite a shock to your system. Thank goodness you are able to return everything that needs returning. BUT...you get to shop again! How cool is THAT!?!? Believe me, there is super awesome stuff out there for boys now too. SO CUTE...you will love it. Have fun and give yourself some time to give up the thought of what you expected as you get to know this little guy that suprised you:-)
OMG!
Wow!
