Hope everyone's enjoying a nice day off! I'm busy policing a very active 11 year old who is egging on his 2 1/2 year old brother. And to think...it's only Monday and he has the whole week off! It'll be fine, we're making a list of things to do this week. One of which is to buy the baby a 'coming home from the hospital' outfit! How exciting! I can't believe this is really happening soon.

I went in on Friday because of some pains that I was/am having in my cervix. I did the NST and had an internal exam. All looks good. Looks like he is just resting on the crux of a bunch of nerves. It is quite a jarring pain when he pushes his head straight down. Atleast I know now that it's not causing labor to come too quickly. Also, it was good to check out that the BH contractions that I've been having haven't been the progressive kind.

It's so exciting to read everyone's birth stories. I'm such a huge sucker for that and cry like a big baby everytime. Can't wait to read yours soon, Amy!

I think that we need to work on that list of names this week. We have decided not to name him until he arrives. Last time after our now 2 1/2 year old arrived, we had named him but then when we came out and met him, we totally changed our minds. This time I think that we'll go in there with a list of about 10 that we favor.

have a fantastic week everyone!
Karen

Hi Girl's,

Well today is the first "Family Day" here in Canada. It is a new statutory holiday that we have all been given, so it feels good to have DH home with me an extra day this weekend. Yesterday, we went to the movie's to see Fool's Gold, it wasn't very good, but nice just to spend time together. We also went indoor glow in the dark miniature golf, which was a lot of fun. I kicked my husbands butt!

I have been having a lot of sleep issues too lately. It is so hard to get comfy. I do find that if I don't have a big meal for dinner, I do sleep better. I also take 2 Gaviscon before bed and that helps too. I have also had this constant rib pain that seems to have been around forever. She must be nuzzled right in there, because I have pain all the time in that one spot.

I have a OB appointment tomorrow and I am looking forward to discussing a possible induction. We have ZERO family here, and my biggest fear is being alone during labour and delivery. My mom will be coming down around that time, but she is 5 hours away, so it would be nice if the birth could be more planned. My DH work's in television and that requires him to be there basically all the time they air. It is also 1 hour away from our house, and can be alot worse in Toronto traffic. My doc is pretty understanding, so I hope we can set something up before my due date.

Sarah- hope your little guy feels better soon. Try to keep yourself as healthy as possible. Glad to hear you had a good trip.

Julie- Hang in there, it won't be too much longer now. Being pg will be a distant memory before you know it, and you'll have your beautiful baby soon.

Amy- Good luck tomorrow. I wish you an easy labour, and a wonderful delivery.

Karen- Good idea about waiting to meet your little man first before naming him. We have had Reese picked out for a while, but I am still not 100%, I need to see her first. (If I do change my mind, I will have a massive battle on my hands with DH, because he is stuck on Reese and won't change his mind.) Glad to hear your contraction's aren't causing any changes to your cervix, we need to keep that little one in a little while longer.

Hope you all have

Vicki

I was just talking to a friend of mine and she said that is most likely why i'm unmotivated-- it has nothing to do with the job-- just being pregnant.
