Hello, Can anyone help me?

I'm new to this board. I'm 32 weeks today w/3rd pregnancy, I have a son who will be 6 years old Saturday. I had a mc 4 years ago last Dec.(5 mo w/twins). So far this pregnancy I haven't had to many problems (anemic, low blood sugar, weight loss). But now I'm having SEVERE hemorrhoids. Swelling, pain, constant bleeding, etc. My OB thinks I may have to have surgery. Has anyone else had to deal with this?

Boy can I relate. I am 33wks along and this Monday I was on the phone with the Dr in tears because of my "hiney Problems". The Dr. prescribed a hydrocortisone cream called Proctosol-HC 2.5%. It took a couple of days but the swelling has gone down enough that I could return to work today. And the pain (that had me in tears) is completely bearable now. They have gotten to the point that they are only annoying not painful.
See if the Dr can get some for you.
Other things that I have tried in the past (but didn't work this time) are......
Put witch hazel on a gauze pad and lay down with it on your hemorroids, it sometimes shrinks them and it does soothe them.
Open up a lecethin capsual (sp?) and put the liquid directly on them. I know in the past this has shrank them right away. (although this time it did not do a thing) Sometimes Vitamin E does the same, as does Aloe Vera.
Also, an ice cube wrapped in a gauze pad will bring some relief.
Seems as though I have way to much info on the whole hemorroid thing LOL!!
Hope some of these things help you . I know just how you feel.
Just in case that don't work I'll send you some ~*~*Shrinking Hemorroid*~*~ vibes.
Hugs,
Donna
