Hi ladies,
I was hesitant to do it until now, but I am very happy to be able to introduce over here. I know many of you already, but for those I haven't met, my name is Laurie. After four losses in the last two years, I am 7 weeks pregnant today and saw the heartbeat last week. DH and I were so relieved and happy - it was an amazing moment. On the day of the u/s (Wednesday) I was 6w3d today and I measured 6w4d! First time I have measured right on time. The heartbeat was 120 bpm. I am completely in the care of my OB now (my peri and RE lovingly 'released' me). We all know that we are far from out of the woods...but this is an enormous milestone for us - over 6 weeks with no signs of any problems. A first.

I have two blood clotting issues (Factor V Leiden and MTHFR) so I do daily Lovenox injections, BA, and a B6/B12/folic acid regimen on top of prenatals. I also take progesterone supplements as a precaution. In addition, I had started acupuncture the cycle I got pg, so I am continuing that once a week.

I am letting myself believe that this time will be our success story. Since things look totally normal so far, I won't go back in for 4 more weeks. Wow. That seems like such a long time, but it feels good to think that I won't be living in 48 hr or week-to-week increments, waiting for test results. I'm just going to breeeeaaaathe and have faith that everything is progressing as it should be until that next appt.

It's nice to be here with you ladies...look forward to getting to know you better.

Laurie

Hi Laurie!!!

SOOOOOO happy to see you here :o) My computer has been down so I haven't gotten to post earlier and I still can't check my email yet. Just wanted to check in and see how you are doing and feeling.

All the best,

Kristin :o)
