choosing a pill

I have just had my Mirena taken out about 4 weeks ago due to extreme difficulty achieving orgasm with it. (it would take 20 minutes straight of direct stimulation in order to achieve, and was impossible to achieve with husband due to this). Also I had absolutely no libido with it. It took about 3 weeks before my body got totally back to normal after that. Anyway, I have dysfunctional uterine bleeding, and I had a D & C, ultrasounds, hysterscope and they coudln't find anything wrong. The only thing they havent' done yet is test my hormones which I am sure my andrygen or testosterone level is high due to other symptoms I have. Bearing this in mind, at age 17 (almost 18) I was put on triphasil and after being on it for 3 months I had gained 35 lbs!!!!!! The nurse immeiately took me off and put me on something else that gave me the worst migraines ever.....I had to quite taking that (but I don't remember what pill it was). After that, they tried to put me on orthotricyclen but that made me very moody and huge appetite increase. My gynecologist wanted to put me on ortho-novum 1/35 for my bleeding but he doesn't know the history I have w/the other pills so I am afraid he may not have chosen a good pill for me. I was too afraid to take it and ended up throwing it out. After that he recommended hysterectomy but I won't do that. I was wondering what pills worked well with the people here? (oh yeah and I lost all the weight I had gained within 6 weeks without dieting believe it or not).

I am kind of desperate really and just wonder what anyone's experiences have been if they had trouble on triphasil or orthotriyclen, what worked for them after that? Thanks so much. I would like to talk to my new doctor about the possibility of trying something.
