A former poster here mentioned that they were curious if there is a risk of pregnancy with a lower dose pill. I do not know if this lower dose pill is like OTC-lo because that is what I am taking. Is there a risk with lower dose pills?

In a word - NO. Absolutely not. They couldn't market it as a "birth control Pill" if it didn't do its job.

The only Pill that has is less effective is the "Mini-Pill" which is progestin-only, meaning that it doesn't have the estrogen that combination pills like OTC have. The Mini-Pill is mostly prescribed to breastfeeding mothers, who can't take estrogen. Because it is progestin-only, it must be taken at EXACTLY the same time every day, and by itself, is only about 85% effective. However, when breastfeeding mothers take it, they tend to not ovulate anyway, so it's much more effective for them.

Feel better? :)

As long as they are taken correctly,I would say there's no risk....I'm not an expert, but I took Micronor (a low dose pill) for 8 months and didn't get pregnant....
