I would like to hear from any one who is on the depoo shot about the side effects and if they will go away or not.
I took my first shot feb 3, the last week i have had alot of trouble sleeping, some night i get as little as 3 hours through the course of the night.
And my emotions are going crazy, i seem to be doing alot of crying over very small things, which is not normal for me. I am nausous alot also
But my main concern is if this will go away the longer I take it or if it will continue on or even get worse..
Any help will be appreciated and thanks

I was on the shot for a little over a year with no problem and no period ( which was great ).But then,my body got
immune to it and the shot wasnt enough to stop my period since I had gone without for soo long.,..that
i had one days before my next shot was due and lasted for 1-2 weeks....spotting...which was when i switched to the pill...hope i helped and good luck with it if you decide to get it.
when I was on the depo shot, I became an emotional mess. I couldn't stand my boyfriend coming anywhere near me, I got so bad. So it is normal. I suggest that if it gets worse, or you continue to find it intolerable that you find some other form of contraception, as being over-emotional and crying all the time for no reason puts a huge strain on any relationship. There is no guarantee that any of your symptoms will go away. Only time will tell whether your system can handle depo. A lot of women have problems on it besides those that you have mentioned. Good luck with it, and I hope your experience with it turns out to be better than mine was!
