My boyfriend and I have been in a monogomous relationship for over a year and I am on birth control so we don't use any other form of protection. He always pulls out anyway just as an extra caution even though it is porbably not necessary. However, this past weekend he partially ejaculated inside of me and I am concerned that I could get pregnant because I had taken a pill late earlier in the week. I took 3 pills the following day counting the regular one I would've taken. I am concerned b/c I had no side effect to this. Is that normal?

I’m confused. You say “I had taken a pill late earlier in the week. I took 3 pills the following day counting the regular one I would've taken.” Were you a few hours late with one pill, or did you miss 2 pills? And, which pill(s) did you miss? And, are you now a day or two short of your 21 days of active pills in your current pack?
If you were only a few hours late with one pill, as long as it wasn’t the first one in a new pack, you are probably ok. If you missed more than one pill then you should use back-up until you have been taking your pills correctly for at least 7 days. If, because you doubled up you are now finishing your pack early, be sure that you go no more than 7 24-hour days before starting the active pills in your next pack. Some women would have break-through-bleeding from taking 3 pills together others won’t it’s how tolerant your body is to hormonal swings as to what happens.
Good luck

what 3 pills did you take? and why would you have taken 3 in one day??
Although I have heard of a schedule for using regular BCPs as an emergency contraceptive, I don't really know anything about it. The bits I can remember hearing are that it only works with some brands, and you have to take a LOT of them at intervals to have a possible effect.
I really doubt that 3 pills the next day would do anything for you, in the pregnancy prevention department. It COULD cause breakthrough bleeding, if you are that sensitive to the hormone levels in your body, or it could have no effect, as you seem to be seeing. I also don't think a presence or absence of symptoms has any bearing on the possibility of pregnancy.
If you are taking your pills correctly (which it sounds like you are) the pills by themselves are 99% or 99.9% (depending on where you find your statistics) effective at preventing pregnancy - that is all by itself. No condom, having intercourse to completion.
It is pretty unlikely that you are pregnant. If you miss your next period, you could test. Don't freak out if you happen to be a day late or something though, it happens!
Good Luck.
