anyone using non-latex diaphragm?

I just got a silicone diaphragm. I recently developed latex allergy: had to throw the latex one away. I was wondering if anyone else was using the same silicone one, what they thought of it.
thanks!

I wear a Milex Omniflex Wide Seal silicone diaphragm and love it! I wear it for flow control and contraception during menses. The dome is a bit stiffer than the latex ones I’ve worn which is a plus for me. Mine is 80mm and is an excellent fit. I can do splits and land jumps and it doesn’t leak at all. The Milex is generally available in America and Europe. There is another silicone diaphragm (with a coil spring rim) available in South America and the UK. It’s called Semina and has a very thin transparent dome and pink rim. It looks like a beautiful pink soap bubble! Is your diaphragm a Milex? How do you like it?
Good luck

yes, it's a Milex Wideseal Omniflex, size 70. It fits well, and I was able to place and remove it without any problems, but when I had taken it out, I saw that I had somehow bent the wire rim. It has a definite pear shape to it now, LOL! I can't imagine how this would bend: removing it felt similar to removing the latex one, which never bent. I talked to Milex, and I'll mail it back to them soon.
Anyway, I was wondering if you or anyone else who used it felt like you had to handle the wire rim with care to keep it circular.
thanks,
siri
My first thought is that it must have been defective. The Omniflex has a coil spring rim which, because of the wide flange along the rim, will bow a bit when compressed, but it should return to the circular shape when released. The way I have to compress the rim to insert it I don’t see how one could be ‘gentle’ with it. I have had no problems with mine and actually think it rather rugged. I even boil it to sterilize it every few wearings. Can you get another from your fitter to use while you make the exchange with Milex?
Good luck
Jill
