Ortho Cyclen v.s. Ortho Tri-cyclen

So i finally went to the doctor, and i asked her tons of questions...since i have never been on bc, and i ended up leaving with ortho cyclen...a friend of mine recently switched from OTC to cyclen and seems to be doing well with it. I also liked the idea of using a monophasic pill since it supposidely reduces moodiness and since its easier to "skip" your periods if you want...so i was just wondering if anyone thinks that i made the better choice to go with cyclen rather than OTC...or going on depo (which i also thought about)...has anyone experienced less side effects with cyclen as apposed to OTC? and also, is a monophasic pill in anyway less effective than a tri-phasic pill? (i forgot to ask that one)...thanks a bunch :)

A monophasic pill is just as effective as a triphasic one. Judging from posts to the board I'd say you made a good choice. Ortho Cyclen is less likely to affect your mood and is more likely to work in delaying your period by taking the active pills in packs back-to-back.
Good luck
