Getting worried...

I have a question, which I hope someone can help me out with because I'm starting to stress. I posted before about starting pills mid-cycle because my prescription ran out and my doctor couldn't see me until it was too late to start another pack.
Anyway, I missed a month of taking the pill. Didn't know if I should start it or not, so I just didn't. Now, I can't really remember doing anything *too* dumb without protection, and when I had sex, I used a condom. But my period is close to a week late now, and I'm a bit worried. Can the fact that I was on the pill for a while, and then just stopped have anything to do with it? I'm giving it another week, and then I'm going to get a test, but until then, any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It’s possible that your period will take a few cycles to stabilize when coming off the pill so being a week late might not be significant and we do occasionally skip periods so I don’t think you should be concerned just yet. Testing in a week is a good idea. Hang in there and let us know how you are doing, ok?
Good luck to you
Jill
