I was just wondering...I am scheduled to get my period in 2 weeks, the only problem is that I also have a wonderful b/f who's taking me to Baltimore. Would it be ok to switch weeks so i get my period a week earlier and then next month switch back?

I am on Microgestin +iron. It has three weeks for green pills and one week brown pills. I have one more week green pills and one week brown pills. I don't know what a monophasic pill is. I was just wondering if i could switch the weeks. instead of being on my period in two weeks if i could make it next week. Then take the green pills the week i would have been on my period (in two weeks)

Hi!

A monphasic pill is a that contains the same amount of estrogen and progestin during the three weeks of active pills. In order to change the week in which you would have your period, you could just skip your placebo pills, which would be your brown pills and start a new pack of pills after you complete your third week of green pills. Meaning, you would skip a period all together. Does this make sense to you? If not, I'll try to clarify it...after you complete your next week of green pills, throw out your brown pills
