finally got nuva ring! now i have some ?

hi everyone! so i finally got nuva ring after figuring out that i had BP because i was really nervous when I went to planned parenthood and really relaxed when i went to the student health center.
so they gave me the starter pack of the nuva ring (it's kinda cute, it comes in a cd case where you can put your rings in to store and comes with stickers AND a nuvatimer which lets you know when to change it.) now i jsut wanted to know, i took my last active pill of OTC on wednesday and I just got my today. i wanted to move to a sunday start just so that it would be easier and more convinient to remember, is it okay to put a ring in even thought i still have my period? it's not going to give me infections if i do will it?

thanks soo much! i hope i enjoy it as much as everyone else has!

Inserting your ring while still having your period will not cause infection. Remember, one method of starting is to be a first day start. If you are using tampons be sure to watch that the ring doesn't come out when you remove the tampon.
Good luck

Yes, you can shorten your inactive week so that you can be a Sunday start, it shouldn't cause any problems.
