possibly pregnant?

I had sex almost a month ago with my ex and we didnt use a condom. He pulled out (which i know isnt that effective) and i was also at the end of my period. I know its not that likely to get pregnant during that time but my friend got pregnant having sex the end of hers. It's been a month since my last..I am due for my period and it hasnt come yet.. I took a test 4 days ago (the one that says u can tell 4 days b4 u miss) and it was negative. Could I be pregnant???

It depends on how regular and how long your periods usually are as to how much risk you took. A woman who has irregular or short periods is more likely to ovulate during or very soon after her period. It is usually more effective to test after you have missed your period. You are probably ok, but no one can say for sure. If AF doesn’t show in a week I would retest. It would be a good idea to keep some condoms and spermicide handy so you aren’t caught unprepared next time. Let us know how you are doing, ok?
Good luck

If there are still no signs of AF and it has been a week since your last test (and you are now officially late) then it is probably time to retest. You might talk with your doc about a blood test. They are more accurate than the usual HPTs available. I hope you get the result you want.

“Despite the fact that many tests say they can be used on the first day of a woman's missed period, investigators at the University of New Mexico at Albuquerque found that, among 18 tests, only one - First Response, Early Result - appeared to be sensitive enough to detect pregnancy in at least 95 percent of women on the first day of their missed periods.”

If you used First Response, Early Result then you can have a pretty good confidence level in the result. You may just be stressing yourself into doing a number on your mind.
