Now that I'm on the pill...

Hi,
I am a 26 1/2 year old woman. I have been on Ortho-Tricyclan Lo (I believe that's correct)for about 2+ months. (This is the first time I have gone on birth control pills.) I was wondering if it is ok for my boyfriend to come inside me now, or if we still need to use other measures. We're both totally not ready to have a kid and a bit paranoid about it, I guess. I'm not sure if this is relavent, but I should add that he has a low sexual drive, or at least it takes him a long time to come/ejaculate. It is the norm that I come before him. Please let me know if it would be safe to let him come inside me or not.
Thanks,
Sarah

If you have been taking your pills correctly it is perfectly safe for your boyfriend to ejaculate inside you. That’s why they call them birth control pills, right? OCs are about 99% effective if taken correctly so you are quite safe. You could ask your question about his low sex drive on the Lets Talk About Sex Board http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-rlletstalkab They have a lot of knowledge about all aspects of IC. My experience (Not with my present partner, thank goodness!) has been that it might be best to have your pleasure first. Some guys will loose interest in their partners needs after they orgasm. They have to be taught we have needs to be satisfied just as they do. Have fun with your guy.
