Hi ice,

The best thing to do is to call around to pharmacies in your area. The cost to you will depend on if you have insurance (that has Seasonale in its formulary) or if you can get it through a big-box discount store like Wal-mart, Costco, Sam’s Club etc. A few weeks back we had a similar question. You might want to search the archives for that discussion.

Good luck

I have been on Seasonale for the past two months and I have to say that I like it. At first, I had the usual problems (break through bleeding, homones all over the place, vaginal dryness, etc.) but now that I feel my body has adjusted, I am doing pretty well. I love the convenience of not having to worry about the dreaded period each month. It has made my life A LOT easier and for that I am happy.

The cost factor: With my insurance it was a little pricey ($70) for three months. I was a little put off by that in the beginning but when I factored in the cost of tampons, Motrin (for the dreaded cramps/bloating, etc.) and the hormone roller coaster I ride each cycle, the price was worth it. My boyfriend also agreed it was worth it.

I think I have been lucky (Im knocking on wood right now) and have not had as bad experience as others have had. I recommend it. IMO, the pros far outweigh the cons.

oh well ty i might consider giving it a try..i really dont like having a period..and ur right once u figure in the cost of tampons and other stuff its not that cheap...the $ isnt a issue but i am not sure i want to deal with vaginal dryness or btb...but who knows i might lean towards it in the future:)
