Ok, so I just need some feedback here. I have just stopped using the nuvaring because I am among the few women for whom it keeps slipping down. From what I've read, most women don't have this problem and I'm not sure what's wrong with me. I'm 25, have only had 2 sexual partners... my doctor suggested kegel exercises, but didn't think that it was necessarily because my anatomy wasn't strong enough (also my boyfriend doesn't seem to have any complaints).

So can anyone tell me why this is happening to me? Has anyone else experienced this to the extent of having to adjust it every day (or more)?

Thanks

Hi climbinggirl,

The kegels could help...bf might be perfectly happy now, but the kegels certainly won't hurt that.

I dont have a problem with it falling out completely but I do have a problem where it just sits 1/2 way in and 1/2 way out... my doctor found that the ring is too big for me and that it is sometimes being pushed out of me.

Charlene, didn't your doctor have you do something different when you insert it?

Yea that kind of sounds like what happens to me... it just sort of slides down. I don't get it, it's weird. Maybe I have the same problem?

OH, I wish I'd been able to try that before going off of it :-( Glad I'm also not the only one who has had to deal with this too though!
