I just made myself have my period a month early, my brother in law said I should take my last seven pills to flush out all the old blood, cause I was having break through bleeding and he told me it would continue until I took the last seven pills. So I just finished them, and usually at the end of my period I have that brown blood, for about the last day, but all I got yesterday was yellowish, smelly mucus (sorry if to much info). I've also felt like I have something stuck up there. And when I am standing for a long period of time and go to sit down oh it feels like somethings being shoved up there. Also, when DH and I had sex Sunday and he went in, it hurt, it felt like he was hitting something very sensitive, but I've never experienced this before. Does anyone know what either one of these things could be???

1) The yellowish smelly mucus after period

2) Something stuck in there after period.

Also, when I go to the bathroom, and I feel like I need to go number 2, I'll sit there and push, but it doesn't feel like I'm pushing back there, but in the middle. Anyone, please!!!

Oh sweetie, I'm sorry... It sounds to me as though you might have a bacterial infection of some sort. If I were you I would go to your doctor as soon as you can. I hope you're feeling better soon. Post and let us know how you are doing, ok?

Good luck

Hi Mrs. Carta,

First thing, I think you should see your doctor about the mucous and weird feelings and pain you're having.

Thanks for your replies.

And I'm not getting mad, or jumping down throats, but I guess I should have said this before, the pills I'm on now, I've been on since December. I've never had a problem with missing or forgeting pills, except in the last pack I did take a few late, but they weren't one right after the other. And my doctor told me to skip the last seven so I wouldn't have my period and to take it again in April, he thought I should only be bleeding once every four months. I'm not on the big side, I'm about 115, 110 depends on the day I guess :) but the beginning of March is when it happened, and it continued for about a week and a half before I called my brother in law, who is a Doctor as well, not here obviously, he's in Indiana so he really couldn't sit me down and talk face to face, but he told me what it sounded like, cause my BC is Lavora, which each pills have the same amount of hormons, and he said it sounded like my uterius was just getting rid of blood that it couldn't hold on to for another month, and that It would most likely continue until I started my last seven, and that I should be okay to just jump ahead and take them now instead of wait until April. When I took the last seven it helped releave pain, cramps, and now I"m not spotting anymore and I don't have cramps. I just posted to see if it was normal to have a yellow discharge after not having your period for three months. Could an infection cause you to feel like you have something stuck in you??? No I didn't forget about a tampon, and I'm sure of it, they annoy me as it is just using them regularly, my last two day's I only need to use a liner any way. Plus, DH and I had sex twice since Sunday and he said nothing felt like it was there, except when he pushed up a little higher, he did hit something and it was sensative and hurt. What do you think that could be?? Also, it's hard for me to climax, what could that be caused by? I haven't climaxed the two times, and I"m really frustrated!

Thanks again for your replies.

Hi Mrs. Carta,

Ahhh ok, since you were skipping the inactive pills and skipping periods...yeah, some women do have spotting when trying that.

Hi MrsCarta,

OK, so you were trying to go with 4 periods a year by taking the active pills of Lavora back to back and you got break-through-bleeding (btb). So your Brother-In-Law doc told you to take the placebos to get your period to get rid of the btb which you did. Now…

“I just posted to see if it was normal to have a yellow discharge after not having your period for three months. Could an infection cause you to feel like you have something stuck in you??”

No, it’s not normal to have a smelly yellow vaginal discharge. That is usually a symptom of a bacterial infection. Or, (and I hate to press this point, but I need to ask) could you and DH have lost a condom inside you that has caused the odor? If not, fine… then it’s more likely to be an infection which I think can feel as though something is sticking in you.

“he said nothing felt like it was there, except when he pushed up a little higher, he did hit something and it was sensative and hurt. What do you think that could be??”

Your cervix (the tip of your uterus) is a cone shaped protrusion from the front wall of your vagina. During arousal and when you are fertile it withdraws out of the way of the male penis. If DH pushed against it with his penis or fingers, that can hurt especially if you have an infection in that area.

“it's hard for me to climax, what could that be caused by? I haven't climaxed the two times, and I"m really frustrated!”

Lack of libido and difficulty reaching climax can be a side effect of hormonal contraceptives. That happened to me the third year I was on OTC. You might want to talk with your doc about a pill change since you can’t go 3 months w/o bleeding on Lavora and you are having trouble reaching orgasm.

Our advice still holds, if you have a smelly vaginal discharge and feel as though something is sticking in you, you need to see a doctor, NOW! Please let us know what s/he says, ok? I hope you’re feeling better soon.

Good luck and (((hugs)))

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply. I've been very busy with work, and we're moving out of our rental soon and we don't have a place to go so we're in desperate search to find somewhere, so I've just been really busy.

Back to my question, I only had the discharge one day, and it was just that one time I went to the bathroom (right after AF was finished) and noticed it, it kinda felt like AF was back but that's what I got, since than(Sunday night, Monday morning) there's been nothing like it.

As for the "something being stuck" It's gone away as well, and DH and I don't use condums because of the pill so it wasn't that.

And I guess that it was the pain that was keeping me from climaxing, I'm proud to say it is now gone :) and last night, it worked :) (sorry if TMI)

But, maye I ask something else, it's actually been since I had my AF but I was constipated a lot, and it's continued now, until today, first time since than, and since the pain and yellow discharge I've noticed I've pooched out a little, rounder belly, and it's kinda hard too, and I"ve been urinating a lot more, and drinking a lot of water. I've noticed that I can eat a lot more now and not get full fast, and when I eat I get hurgy again very soon after. I've also had these little bumps on my nipples, that I've never noticed before, and every few day's I'll have sore nipples, or get a tingling feeling in my breasts. Today, I've noticed a little pain in the left side of my stomach, and when I sit up straight or bend over it hurts more, but when I lean back or lay down I don't notice it as much, oh and I've had terrible back aches, my lower back especially, it feels really good when DH rubs it for me, but he doesn't do it very much, :( but I still love him.

Okay, can anyone tell me what could be going on??? Thanks for your replies, and I"m glad it all went away, now what about this??

I'm confused. You say that you spoke to your brother in law who is a doctor, but have you ACTUALLY GONE to an ob/gyn and been looked at? You really really need to be inspected by an ob/gyn. Doctors can't accurately tell what is wrong just by talking to you on the phone - they can make educated guesses, but they certainly can't give a diagnosis. They need to inspect you.

Go see a gynecologist. If it's not something with your reproductive system they can refer you to a more relevant specialist (like a urologist or a gastroenterologist).
