Hey there...I was just wondering, does the pill protect you throughout the whole 28 days or only up until the 21 day? For example, if my boyfriend and I wanted to have sex a couple days into my placebo week, would I still be protected even though I'm I hadn't take the hormones in the few days? Thanks a bunch :)

Hi kelli,

If you are taking your pills correctly; on time, not been sick and vomited or had diarrhea within 2 hours after taking your pills and if you aren’t taking meds or supplements that might reduce the effectiveness of your pills then you should be quite safe having IC during your placebo week. You should be very careful to go no more than 7 24-hour days between active pills to retain the continuity of your protection.

Good luck
