Please Help!

I was on Depo last year for nine months or so and I quit in the first week of September (also tried Yasmin for a couple days, but it was screwing with my heart, so I quit). On about the middle of October, I started having this burning vaginal pain. It -felt- like a urinary tract infection, but test after test revealed that it wasn't. After a pelvic, I was diagnosed with a yeast infection. I tried numerous treatments, even an oral treatment, and nothing helped the pain. Near the beginining of December, it went away... but only for a while. A few weeks later it was back again. It's been doing this intermittantly for all this time! I don't know what to do. Doctors give me the same run-around, and I'm in so much pain that I can't leave my heating pad. At this rate, I won't be able to go to college next quarter. Does anyone have any ideas to what this could be? I'm really scared, and I want the pain to stop...

Thanks,

A.

Hi blitxwolfx, welcome!

It sounds as though it might be Vulvodynia, a painful and difficult to diagnose disorder. CL-Judie Rae is CL of the iVillage Vulvodynia board. You could post there and see if the members there can help. The link is http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-bhvulvodynia They have a lot of experience with and information about the problem.

Good luck

I really appreciate the suggestions. Thank you so much! I'll see if I can get a referral to a gynocologist, bring up the possibility of IC and vulvodynia and go from there. I'll keep you posted. :)
