Emergency Contraception Nightmare. Help!

Two months ago, my boyfriend and I had "an accident" with a condom during sex (It slipped off) so the day after I got the morning after pill from Planned Parenthood. Now my period has been off a bit since then but it should be starting in the next couple of days - I think...

anyhoo, yesterday (about 36 hours ago to be exact) we were having sex, he pulled out before ejaculating and I grabbed his penis while he ejaculated. He was still on top of me, and when he moved off of me, we noticed the condom had ripped (i probably did it while grabbing it) and the semen had spilled on to me. He didn't ejaculate inside me, and I think the semen was only on the outside of my vagina. I immediately washed it off.

I recently got a prescription of Alesse which I haven't started taking yet (i'm waiting for the sunday after my period to start on it) I know Alesse can be used for emergency contraception (taking 5 pills and then 5 pills 12 hours later) - Initially, I said I didn't want to b/c it'll just screw up my period again just as its getting back to normal and besides, my period is about to start so I'm not ovulating, he didn't ejaculate inside me, there shouldn't be much of a chance of pregnancy. But now I'm getting nervous... and ECP is best if used within 72 hours, so time is sort of running out... What should I do????

Better safe than sorry and just take it?

sorry if this post is too long (and too graphic!) but I'm freaking out!Thanks...

It's still your call, but if I thought there was any chance I might be ovulating (can be around 10-14 days before a period, but some women don't always ovulate "on time"), I wouldn't hesitate to take EC.
