Hello to everyone. I have a general question. I started taking the pill about two weeks ago. Everyone told me that I would have all of these side effects to the pill and I have not had any. The type I am on is Sprintech. It's a generic one covered under my insurance. It is suppose to be just like Orthocyclen. The hormone dosage is the same. I am kind of wondering if it's working? Maybe I am just acting a little perinoid. Any imput would be greatly appreciated.

Hi nsvanzile!

I understand your concerns, however, generic drugs are required by law to have the same active ingredients as the brand. The fillers might be slightly different, but that's all. And alot of times the generic ones are made by the same companys that make the brand! Anyway, I've been taking Sprintec also, so if you have any specific questions regarding this, let me know!

My boyfriend is a pharmacist, and he gets questions about this stuff all the time! :)

when i first started on the pill, i had no side effects either. I think they just say that "in case" you have some, so you are not worried, but most everyone I know that has been on the pill didn't have all the side effects either.

as long as you are taking them as directed you are fine.

good luck!

If you're taking your pills correctly (every day, at around the same time), they're working. I've been on Sprintec for a couple of months and I haven't had any side effects either. Relax. :)
