Does anyone have any imput on Necon .5/35? I've been taking Sprintec and I can just tell it's not working with my body. I was on Ovcon 35 for about a year, and it worked well for me. It's .4 norethindrone/.035 ethinyl estradiol, and the Necon is .5 norethindrone/.035 ethinyl estradiol, so I'm thinking it will be better than the Sprintec.

Thanks!

If you liked Ovcon but aren't such a Sprintec fan, you may want to give the Necon a try!

Thanks Judie.

The necon is the generic for the modicon. I figure they'll work pretty well, since they are so close in formulation to what the Ovcon was. I would have stayed on Ovcon, but it was $40/month thru the insurance!! Verus the $10/month I'll have to pay for the necon!

I know what you mean about the marketing though!

I've used necon 1/35 and so has one of my friends. She used to have heavy, painful periods but they are very light and much nicer with this pill.

My periods have always been light but are now non-existent on this pill. I have not bled since November, but the doc has checked me out and said it's ok. FYI: For my first several months on it, I had light periods for one or two days every month, then every other month, now none.

Good luck with the .5/35. I have no experience with it but hope it is great for you.

Rayshinz ~

Thanks so much for the info. Especially about the light periods because I'm the same way - only lasting 3 days at most.
