Cyclen vs. Tri-cyclen lo

I have recently been switched from ortho-cyclen to ortho-tri-cyclenlo in hopes of eliminating irregular bleeding.

1. I am on my first pack of lo, what kind of period changes can I expect? Will my start date change? Heavier or Lighter? I realize everyone is different, just curious. (On cyclen I would start usually on day 1 or 2 of the inert pills, with moderate to heavy flow most of the week.)

2. When I was on Cyclen, I was given a sample of tri-cyclen to use as spares (it was all they had Dr. said it would be okay) Only had to use once. How would tri-cyclen compare to tricyclenlo as far as an emergency spare is concerned? I was only given 2 samples to try for two months to see if the lo agreed with me, but have the tricyclen spare pack left. Usable? or Toss?

I rarely need to use spares, but occasionally (due to IBS and timing of attacks), I will take an additional pill as opposed to relying on the one missed pill is okay theory!

Side bar, in all the years I have been on bc, I don't think I have even used an entire pack of pills as spares, I didn't want anyone to think this as a habit.

Any input will be appreciated.

Thanks gals!

OTC Lo has less estrogen than OTC and Ortho Cyclen.
