For me to skip my week of placebo pills and continue with a new pack of pills. This probably sounds dumb, but I want my period to come at a later time.

Hi Jen,

Lots of women skip their periods by taking the active pills back-to-back. Yes the pill you are on could make a difference. Skipping doesn’t work for everyone but Ovcon 35 is a monophasic pill, so you have a better chance of it working for you than if you were on a triphasic such as OTC. I’d just touch base with your doc and let him or her know what you have planned, to get an ok.

Good luck

Jen ~

When I was taking the Ovcon 35, I did exactly what you want to do. I did have a little bit of BTB, but it wasn't bad at all. And I did it for the same reason, I wanted my period to come later!

Hope that helps!

i have a friend with very bad endometriosis who is also on a monophasic BCP. skipping the placebo week doesnt affect your protection at all, because BCPs like ovcon give you all your hormones at once instead of varying it up, the way drugs like Ortho Tricyclen would.
