Switching to a lower dose...

For those of you who have switched to a lower dosage i was wondering if you could tell me whether it was better or worse for you..i know everyone reacts differently but i just want to hear what other people have to say. My doctor called in a low dose of ova-something..i couldn't quite catch what she did..for all i know it could have been ortho...help would be great..thank you!

You're right all women react differently to dosage of hormons, in my case, I started out on Otho TriCyclen, than was switched to Levora, (which is all the same dosage of hormons) but i was still reacting to it poorly. Now I'm on the patch and it's totally making me feel ten times better. I believe my doctor told me that the patch has a smaller dosage of hormons than the last BC pills I was on Levora, which has made me a happy camper. Best of luck, I'd recomend the patch to anyone, but we're all different.

For some people, a lower dose of progestin helps, for others a lower dose of estrogen helps, it really all depends on which hormone (and sometimes we don't know which) was causing the unpleasant side effects or whether they both were together.
