Aviane???

I was wondering if anybody here has been prescribed Aviane? I was just given this so i could get off Yasmin because I'm extremely moody on it and it's been affecting my relationship with my boyfriend, however, weight gain wasn't a problem just a little bloating when i first started it. I was wondering if my body didn't gain weight from Yasmin would I gain weight from Aviane. Feedback would be greatly appreciated from those that have tried Aviane or are on it now! Thanks!
P.S.- If i want to skip my period this month can i go straight to my first pack of Aviane from Yasmin or will that cause BTB?

First of all, weight gain from the Pill is not all it's cracked up to be. SOME women do gain weight, but the numbers are much smaller than one might think. It is not always necessarily caused by the Pill either, but rather by changes in appetite or eating habits. If you keep your eating habits the same when you change Pills, weight gain really shouldn't be a problem, unless it's in a bit of excess water. But if you didn't gain water weight from Yasmin, I doubt you'd gain any on Alesse.
Personally, I would not recommend going straight from Yasmin to Aviane. The two pills are pretty different. Aviane (Alesse) is lower in estrogen than Yasmin is - and if I remember correctly from when I was on Yasmin, the actual progestinational activity of Alesse is also a bit lower than that of Yasmin, so I'd say breakthrough bleeding or spotting would be very likely if you tried to go straight from one to another. Plus, your body might go a little haywire since the two different progestins in the two Pills are VERY different. Personally, my gyne suggested I go straight from one to another, when I went from Alesse to Yasmin and then back to Alesse, so it's definitely doable, it's just a matter of personal preferance, and my personal preferance was not to do this. If a little spotting isn't a problem, and you are in tune to your body and what it might do, then by all means, go for it.
Hope this helps - good luck!
