I was just given a 3 month sample of Seasonale to help lighten my cycles, but after reading all of the information, I am wondering if I made the right choice.

Hi Amanda, welcome!

If you have never been on OCs before then perhaps Seasonale (the same formulation as Nordette which is a 21/7 regimen pill) would be a good place to start. Side effects don’t occur for everyone so hopefully you will be lucky on Seasonale. Or, if you would be more comfortable trying a 21/7 pill first ask for some samples of Nordette. It will take about 3 cycles for your body to become adjusted to the hormones so you may see some side effects, there is no way to tell in advance. Let us know how you’re doing, ok?

Good luck

Hi Amanda,

Go ahead and give it a shot - I think the bleeding/etc is the exception and not the rule.

I have been on several different kinds of pills over the years, but after the birth of our last baby my husband had a vasectomy...I had hoped my days of being on the pill were over, but my body thinks other wise.
